Windows RT refers to the Windows Run Time which is the OS designed only for Tablets and it won't support Traditional Windows app.Even many people are asking not to mention Windows RT as windows family os since it is not upward compatible but Microsoft rejected this argument with the answer that Windows RT is build with same architecture as Windows family.
