SEA-ME-WE 4:
South East Asia–Middle East–Western Europe 4' (SEA-ME-WE 4) is the optical fiber submarine communication cables laid between Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Egypt, Italy, Tunisia, Algeria and France.
This cable is approximately 18,800 km in length which is the backbone of Internet between South east Asia ,Europe and Indian subcontinent
The eighteen month construction project was completed on 13 December 2005 with a cost estimate of US$500 million.
Europe India Gateway (EIG) is a submarine communications cable system which is planned to connect the U.K., Portugal, Gibraltar, Monaco, France, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti, Oman, United Arab Emirates, and India.It will be about 15,000 kilometres long.
It will have cable landing points at:

I-ME-WE:
I-ME-WE (India-Middle East-Western Europe) is a 13,000-kilometre submarine communications cable system between India and France. The design capacity is 3.84 Terabits per second. The I-ME-WE cable system comprises three optical fibre cable pairs and 2 trunk lines.
It has cable landing stations at:
- Mumbai (India) (two landing sites)
- Karachi (Pakistan)
- Fujairah (UAE)
- Jeddah (Saudi Arabia)
- Suez (Egypt)
- Alexandria (Egypt)
- Tripoli (Lebanon) Note: not Tripoli, Libya
- Catania (Italy)
- Marseille (France)
