Android 4.4 Kitkat Google announces next version of Android

Google announces Android 4.4 Kitkat :

Most expected Android's next version of Android is named as Kitkat officially by Google Inc as Android 4.4.It is the 11th major OS version release in Android history.It is expected to be named as "Key Lime Pie" but later Google officially confirmed with Kitkat a famous chocolate brand through out the world.

On speaking about the name a Google official said "We realized that very few people actually know the taste of a key lime pie but KitKat on the other hand is a popular snack in many countries".

Google is emerging as a monopoly company in smartphone and tablet sales with its Android and it earlier announced 1 billion Android devices are activated already.Google's counterparts find it very difficult to compete with the growth of Android sales graph and now Google is emerging as the market leader of Smartphone OS.

The name Kitkat is chosen because of the Google's engineer Hiroshi Lockheimer love on Kitkat bar choclates according to a Google spokesman.

Google is maintaining a funny habit of naming Android versions with a food item

Android 1.0 - No name

Android 1.1 - No name

Android 1.5 - Cup cake

Android 1.6 - Donut

Android 2.0 - Eclair

Android 2.2 - Froyo 

Android 2.3 - Gingerbread

Android 3.0 - Honeycomb

Android 4.0 - Icecream sandwich 

Android 4.1 - Jelly bean

Android 4.4 - Kitkat

The release date of Android 4.4 Kitkat is not yet officially announced !!!!
