MS Office Word Tips and Tricks

Trick 1:

change case in word

I had seen many people use to erase a complete word when they mistakenly typed the case of a word (E.g Typed a upper case word in lower case). Even no one is ready to change the mistaken character only but they completely erase and retype the word.

MS Office has a inbuilt option to overcome this problem what we called as Change Case option.

To make use of change case option you should click on the Change Case icon as shown in the image below (only applicable for MS Office with 2007 or higher version )

change case in word
We have five default options available with ChangeCase icon such as the following

  • Sentence case
  • lower case
  • UPPER CASE
  • Capitalize Each Word
  • tOGGLE cASE
I explained all the options in typing style itself but i explain again for your understanding

Sentence case : Only first letter of all sentences are capital

lower case        : All letters are small in case

UPPER CASE  : All letters are upper in case

Capitalize Each Word : Only capitalize first character of each words in sentence

tOGGLE cASE : Just opposite to Capitalize each word in sentence option
